Tags: ati | driver | graphic | linux | X11

ATI Catalyst Logo imageATI has released a new video driver for Linux as of November 12, 2008.  As usual it fixes a few bugs and cleans up performance related problems with the newer cards.  X.org version 7.4 is supported with no note as to which Linux kernel version support stops at.

Features added in to this release are support for various TV timings, such as 720i, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, 480 and so on within the driver and a CrossfireX utility to let you see if your application is currently taking advantage of the multi-GPU technology.

You can get the drivers at ati.amd.com or grab the changelog in PDF format for more information.
