PCBurn was founded back in the halcyon days of hardware sites.  Back in the wee hours of the turn of the millennium a small group of people decided to create a website that would stick mostly to hardware, odd systems development, and a smattering of Linux and see where it went.

Despite the intervening (almost 9, as I write this) years, we've mostly stuck to that formula.  The site is presently going through it's third re-creation, with much of the content from the past five years being in limbo on a backup server due to a final SQL injection attack on the old codebase when everyone was preocupied with other persuits.

Our formula is this: We'll post news, when it's interesting.  We'll post articles, when they're written. And we'll review hardware, books, and Linux software/games as they're available.  If a manufacturer wants to send us their latest widget to evaluate and show the masses we're more than willing to look at it.

Just don't expect any favoritism because of that.  We'll never pull our punches or laud a bad product due to outside influences.
