My latest project; Joysticks!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by at the PCBurn Joysticks! table. Chatting with you all and having people use and evaluate something I’ve been working on for the past few months was a blast.
I was able to put together a package to make joysticks. In this case Arcade style Fight sticks. And it all wrapped up days before VCF 2026. Not everything made it in before the deadline but the fight sticks were complete.
So what’s next? After talking with folks at the convention I think I’ll refine the libraries with suggestions, clean them up, and likely offer to release it as a website and Git repository through a kickstarter.
Once I’ve recovered from the lead-up rush to the event and the long, long days that working at and being social for the convention entail I should have a more complete write-up here detailing the project. And probably a new video after my 6 year hiatus from creating video content as PCBurn.
So thanks again to everyone who stopped by! Especially the kids and Street Fighter players, both groups of whom were far more enthusiastic for a variably clicky button than I would’ve guessed.
