Heated Bed Cable Replacement on the Prusa i3 Mk3

Recently the heated bed failed on my Prusa i3 Mk3 (from Prusa 3D). But on the up-side it wasn’t the bed itself, but the cables. So I seized the opportunity to make a video of the troubleshooting process. There’ll also be a follow up video on what replaced the original cable.

One of the many possible smoothieware logos available at the moment. I have no clue which one will get picked, but this was my favorite.

Smoothieware Update for MKS SBase v1.3

While updating my MKS SBase v1.3 to the latest smoothieware software I ran into a bit of a snag. Not a snag you’d find in the actual (recent) Smoothieboards, mind, but a snag that would only occur with the MKS SBase. As it turns out they’re shipping with a 2014 copy of the Smoothieware firmware….
